Annai Home:
Annai Home is a welfare and Rehabilitation Centre for the much-ignored section of the society - the mentally challenged. The home shelters nearly 41 mentally retarded(MR) children and 21 normal children (NC) and 7 MR adults too. This school is being run by Annai Jothi Seva Trust with 5 trustees, 5 teaching staff and 8 non teaching staff.
Each MR child is trained according to his/her abilities. The end result is astonishing. You have to see it in person to experience the change in the child. One visit to Annai home convinces you that every child here is a child, perhaps, not a child endowed with all the normal capabilities but still a CHILD. Annai home aims at making these special children contribute to the society. Even when the parents think the children cannot be of any help, the school, with patience develops the talents of these children. It drives to make the society accept the special children as they are. NC children are sent to nearby schools for their studies.

Student Saravanan is an inmate of Annai home for the past one year. He has just completed his 12th class in St.Mary’s higher secondary school,V.K.Puram. He has come out with flying colors scoring 1033 marks. He ha joined B.Com in Sri Paramakalyani college of Arts & Science, Alwarkurichi. His father left them and his mother, who works as a Beedi Labourer, is the only bread winner of the family. He has two elder sisters. His mother is aged and cannot work as before. He is in need of financial assistance to pursue his studies.Total Fee: Rs.2500/-

Infrastructure Requirements:
The children are living in a cramped environment and the sanitary conditions are very poor. They got loans sanctioned from government and erected a building recently. But flooring work is not yet done due to lack of funding and still they can’t utilize the building. Earlier they conveyed that if we can arrange for a sum of Rs.40000/- they can put the flooring & the building can be utilized.
But now the infrastructure work has actually exceeded the estimated amount and now they are in need of another Rs.25,000/- for that to be completed. Also they are looking for sponsorship/support for buying science notebooks worth Rs.1500/- for the school children.
I have merged all the requirements and presented the updates below.

The receipt for the building erection products will be provided by the vendor only after the pending Rs.25,000/- is paid and full payment is settled.
